Thou shalt not make your players do laps.
Thou shalt not use drills that involve your players waiting in long lines.
Thou shalt not lecture thy players.
Why is this? The first two (no laps or lines) are because we want the maximum amount of touches and time on the soccer ball as possible at any training session! If players are doing laps or waiting in line they arenโt getting touches on the ball.
No lectures refers to the coach loving the sound of their own voice. Children (and teenagers and adults) usually only listen to the first few instructions and then they tune out or canโt remember all of it anyway.
